The "Age of Roof" Discount Is your roof less than 15 years old?  Most Florida carriers offer significant discounts for newer roofs. Have you had a Wind Mitigation Inspection in the last 5 years?  This single document can save you up to 40% on your premiums by proving your home can withstand high winds. 2. Coverage Gaps & "Hidden" Exclusions Water Backup & Sump Overflow:  Does your policy cover a pipe burst or sewer backup? (Most standard policies  exclude  this unless you add an it).
